Audience: Brand new educators, educators teaching new content or educators looking to further develop a calendar for the upcoming school year.  All grade levels and content areas welcome!

Pre-session work: It will be helpful to become familiar with your required content standards.  Bring these with you if you have them!

Description: In this workshop participants come away with strategies for creating a content/standard and assessment calendar.  Educators will learn different strategies for gathering and organizing their content standards, mapping the standards into a comprehensive storyline with units and lessons, planning the storyline into an academic calendar, planning assessments based on the standards and timeline, and go over ways to present the content calendar to students and families...Phew!  There will be some direct instruction and a lot of discussions regarding successful practices.

School closures and the transition to online learning has created a unique teaching situation for new and seasoned teachers.  By creating a solid backbone that can be shared with students and families, teachers will be more prepared for the upcoming school year and the possibility of another year of learning from home.
