- G.E.A.R. Parent Network
- August Sender, Education Co-Coordinator Sexual Assault Support Services of Midcoast Maine
- Green, Family Advocate, Midcoast Children’s Advocacy Center
- Jess Hall, Regional Parent Support Coordinator
Wednesday, July 29, 2020, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
This workshop will focus on identifying, responding to, and preventing child sexual abuse. Child sexual abuse is not a topic any of us want to talk about, and as a result, parents and caregivers are often at a loss at what to do if they suspect abuse, or want to take preventative steps to protect their kids. This workshop is trauma-informed and we will not be sharing stories of harm to children.
Supportive Educational Workshops, special events and activities are offered FREE to parents/grandparents/caregivers/educators of children with emotional or behavioral health concerns! Unable to attend in person? Often workshops are available as a webinar* by GoToMeeting™ with preregistration. Look for Special Events listed in Red print! Pre-registration is recommended, so we may notify you if a workshop is rescheduled or canceled. Changes are posted on our Facebook page.
