In this book study, we will dive deeply into a powerful framework for science teaching to ensure that instruction is rigorous and equitable for students from all backgrounds. Participants will attend four synchronous (real-time) online study group sessions and participate in asynchronous book discussions to collaboratively deepen science teaching practices.

The book, Ambitious Science Teaching, by Mark Windschitl, Jessica Thompson, and Melissa Braaten, outlines a toolbox of strategies for teachers who are striving to meet the considerable challenges that have been set for them. The practices presented in this book are being used in schools and districts that seek to improve science teaching at scale, and a wide range of science subjects and grade levels is represented. Join us to deepen your toolkit for meaningful science learning.
