"Restoring the Penobscot River" Panel Presentation
- Maine Audubon
- High School
The removal of dams and other ongoing efforts on the Penobscot River has been the culmination of a decades-old multinational, cross-sector collaboration involving tribal, state, and federal governments, NGOs, corporations, and communities. The project has also become an international model for watershed restoration and conservation. Join several of those leaders as they share their experiences, discuss the new book, From the Mountains to the Sea, and look ahead to what’s next.
Featuring John Banks, Penobscot Nation; Kate Dempsey, Nature Conservancy; Andy Goode, Atlantic Salmon Federation; Pete Didisheim, Natural Resources Council Maine; Sally Stockwell, Maine Audubon.
